The Boys Ranch Town, located just a half mile East of I-35 on 33rd Street, was founded in 1953. “The Ranch” houses 40 boys from 1st grade through high school in five cottages. Each cottage cares for eight boys 24 hours a day, seven days a week; that’s where Oakdale comes in.

OBC is happy to help BRT throughout the year with several ongoing projects. We help sponsor things like the annual rodeo and the annual style show with shopping time that is done for each boy every July at the Quail Spring’s Dillards. We do periodical work days and projects that may need to be done throughout their campus and food and supply drives to help with their ongoing needs. Church families also have opportunities to encourage individual boys by including them in family activities away from the ranch.

Our Team Leaders for BRT are Mike and Maria Reynolds, who have served in that capacity for several years. They have great passion for everyone at the ranch and would love to help you get familiar with and plug into our efforts at the ranch. Please don’t hesitate to contact either of them for more information.

God has given Oakdale a great opportunity to help make a difference in an inner city school. Crutcho School is located at the corner of Air Depot and N.E. 23rd Street. Crutcho, which has been in the metro for over 100 years, is a 100% free and reduced lunch school.

Oakdale has been involved in everything from sponsoring the community dinners, tutoring with Whiz Kids, music classes, teacher’s aides, teacher prayer and share times, teacher meals, birthday cakes for 300 plus kids, Christmas gifts and trees, teacher appreciation breakfasts, fund raising efforts, and much, much more. Oakdale is honored to partner with Crutcho and to be a part of the huge difference God is making in and through the school and its faculty and students.

Our Team Leader for our Crutcho Partnership Ministry is Marjorie Hiel. Please contact her for more information or how you can become involved.
